PROBLEM: Dishwasher Won't Close

SOLUTION:

AGENT ONLY-

There are 6 possible causes for why the dishwasher won't close:

  • Is the upper rack jammed?

        - The upper rack is adjustable, if one side is higher than the other, it won't close properly and prevent the door from latching.

  • Is the Customer washing pots and large dishes on the upper rack?

        - The upper rack has been designed for small plates, mugs, and glasses. The top nozzle is located on top of the upper rack, if the dishes interfere with the top nozzle, the rack won't close.

  • Is there an error code displayed or lights flashing on the control panel?

        - DC error: Door not closing. Troubleshooting > Error Codes

  • Is the door rubbing against the tub wall when closing?

        - If the dishwasher is not properly levelled, the door will rub against the side of the tub and will not align with the door latch.

  • Warning: Auto Release dry mode could be in operation.

        - The door cannot be closed manually for the next 2 minutes.

  • When opening / closing, is the door noisy?

        - If it is noisy, schedule a service call.
