Why won't my dishwasher turn on?

If it's an installation, electrical, ventilation or maintenance concern, there may be a charge for the service by the service center

 Questions to ask customer:

1.  Is the unit completely dead or not starting the cycle?

 

2.  Was the unit recently installed? (less than 30 days ago)

  • If YES, please ask customer to call the installer back to verify and test the electrical connections.
     
  • If NO, proceed to the next step.

Electrical Connections

3.  Please locate and turn OFF the dishwasher's circuit breaker. If customer is using fuses, then proceed to the next step.

  1. Turn ON/OFF the circuit breaker 3 times to reset it and then leave it in the OFF position
     
  2. Now go to the dishwasher and hold the power or start button for 10 seconds to reset the dishwasher's main board
     
  3. Then go back to the circuit breaker panel and turn ON the dishwasher's circuit breaker
     
  4. Hold the dishwasher power button for 5 seconds, if it still doesn't turn ON, then
     
  5. Please ask customer to call an electrician first to check voltage to the dishwasher and request a report from the electrician confirming that power to the dishwasher is 110-120 VAC

4.  Fuses are not resettable, please ask customer to call an electrician first to check power to the dishwasher and request a report from the electrician confirming that power to the dishwasher is 110-120 VAC

5.  If customer calls back and provide an electrician report confirming that power to the dishwasher is 110-120 VAC, then BOOK SERVICE
