PROBLEM :

Dishwasher Turns On By Itself

SOLUTION :

When your dishwasher turns on by itself, it's nothing to be alarmed about. There is actually a very simple explanation. The capacitive touch buttons on your dishwasher are very sensitive. While loading and unloading the dishwasher, brushing against the control panel could set a cycle. The dishwasher will start by itself once the door is closed.

To address this problem, please perform the following:

  1. Confirm that the display is turned off. If it is on, select Power to turn it off.

  2. If you are sure the control panel has not been touched or other buttons act as if they are being touched, clean the control panel with a warm, damp cloth. If there is a build-up of detergent or residue on the panel, it could cause the buttons to malfunction.

NOTE
There is an updated board for the controls. The timing for the controls was .005 seconds, but now the time has been changed to .5 seconds.
*If the dishwasher is still turning on by itself,
service is required.
