1. hE, hC,
hC1, hC2 Means:Invalid
heating temperature
hE / hC Error:
REGULAR ELECTRIC DRYER
Failure:
Restricted Vent or Defective Thermistor
These error codes indicate that the dryer's
temperature is too high, possibly due to overheating. Causes may include a restricted
venting system or abnormal thermistor resistance.
[Follow step 2. VENT
BLOCKAGE TEST]
1HC / HC Error:
VENTLESS DRYER
Failure:
Compressor Overheating or Defective Thermistor
To fix this issue, turn off the circuit breaker
or unplug the power cord, then hold the power button for 10 seconds, and then
after 2 minutes, turn ON power to the machine.
After restoring power, attempt to restart the
drying cycle.
If the error code remains, please
book a service call.
HC2 Error: GAS
DRYER
Failure:
Gas ignition failed
To fix this issue, turn off the circuit breaker
or unplug the power cord, then hold the power button for 10 seconds, and then
after 2 minutes, turn ON power to the machine.
After restoring power, attempt to restart the
drying cycle.
If the error code remains,
please book a service call.

Failure:
Restricted Vent or Defective Thermistor
These error code indicates that the dryer's
temperature is too high, possibly due to overheating.
Causes may include a restricted venting system
or abnormal thermistor resistance.
[Follow step 2. VENT
BLOCKAGE TEST]
2. VENT BLOCKAGE TEST:
CLg or Cg, C8 or
C80, C9 or C90: Means Restricted
Airflow
Please ask customer to run the "vent
blockage test" cycle
(see user manual for instructions)
Note:
The "vent blockage
test" must run with the
dryer in a cool state and empty.
If the dryer is warm, run the "AIR FLUFF"
cycle for several minutes to reduce its internal temperature.
The "vent blockage test" automatically
detects the airflow and reports any blockage or restrictions.
Proper ducting can reduce drying time and save
energy as well.
After the test:
If the message "CLg
or Cg, C8 or C80, C9 or C90"
appears on the display,
it means the airflow is restricted somewhere.
If the dryer was recently installed (less than
30 days), please ask
customer to call the installer
to verify the duct airflow and voltage.
If not recently installed,
please ask customer call a duct cleaner,
to clean and test the duct and request a detailed report to prove that it is
clean, then call
us back for service.
Note:
If the vent test has PASSED, please
book a service call.
TERMS:
hE or hC Error Code:
Indicates high temperature and potential overheating in the dryer.
Restricted Vent System:
A clogged or blocked vent system leading to the dryer.
Ventless Dryer (Heat
pump or Condenser): A dryer
that doesn't require an air duct, instead, it condenses and drains the moisture
inside the drum.
Abnormal Thermistor
Resistance: Incorrect resistance
value of the thermistor, affecting temperature control.
Gas Ignition Failed:
Issue with igniting the gas in a gas dryer.
Power Off: Disconnecting
electrical current to the appliance.
Room Temperature: Ambient
air temperature, typically around 70F (21C).
Heat Pump Dryer:
A type of dryer that uses a heat exchanger to transfer heat from one fluid to
another
Compressor:
A component of the refrigeration system that compresses the refrigerant gas
Thermistor:
A sensor whose resistance changes with temperature
