2E, 9E1, or 9C1 Error Code

PROBLEM 1:

2E or 9E1 Error Code

SOLUTION 1:

If you see a 2E or 9E1 error code, it means there is something wrong with the dryer's thermistor (the temperature sensor). The thermister's resistance is either too low or too high. If you have a Flex dryer, it could be either the top or bottom thermister (for the delicate dryer or the main dryer).

This error code can be caused by a restricted vent system or a clogged lint filter. Trying cleaning the vent and lint filter to see if this fixes the problem.

If the error code still appears, service is required.

Agent Only -

The thermister's resistance should be 10K Ohms at room temperature.

PROBLEM 2:

9C1 Error Code

SOLUTION 2:

If you see a 9C1 error code, it means the voltage being supplied to the dryer is abnormal. It could also mean there is an invalid power frequency sense circuit.

  • If you get this error, check if the dryer is on its own circuit and not using an extension cord.

  • If it's an electric dryer, confirm the power cord has been installed properly and correct voltage is supplied.

If the error code still appears,
service is required.
