Dryer is Hot to Touch [Feels Too Hot, Overheating]
PROBLEM:
Dryer Is Hot To The Touch
SOLUTION:
The heater is located on the lower rear right side, when
facing the front of the dryer (see picture below)
The heater is responsible for producing the heat that
dries clothing, and it is seated 1-inch away from the right side frame of the
dryer.
The longer the dryer is operating, the hotter the right
side frame might get.
It is important to leave at least 1-inch distance between
the dryer sides and any other objects, like a wall or washing machine.
And 5 inches between the back of the dryer and the wall,
inspect the dryer duct to see if it's crushed or kinked (see picture below)
Do Not operate the dryer
in a confined and closed space, dryers take air from the room and blows it outside.
And do not place anything on top of the dryer panel.
Doing so will prevent the dryer form overheating.
Keep in mind that the temperature inside of the unit is
may reach up to 80C (176F) degrees depending on the cycle.
To heat the drum to the highest temperature setting, the
heater has to run at an average temperature of 100C (210F) degrees.
The coolest cycle is the "NORMAL"
cycle with "ECO" mode turned ON.
If the right side wall of the dryer feels hot/warm to
the touch, it is because of the heat being produced by the heater.
Additionally, if there is a blockage of any kind in your
ventilation, this can trap heat in the housing of the dryer, causing it to feel
hotter.
Please run the "vent blockage
test" cycle to confirm if the airflow is restricted (see user
manual).
If the message "CLg or Cg,
C8 or C80, C9 or C90" appears on the display, it means the airflow
is restricted somewhere.
Please ask customer to call a duct
cleaner, to clean and test the duct and request a detailed report
to prove that it's clean, then call us back for service if the issue persist.
Warning: If the dryer feels extremely hot
to the touch, or has a burning, or smoke coming off the machine, then please
