PROBLEM :
Dryer Time Changes Significantly
SOLUTION :
If you use a Sensor Dry cycle on your dryer, it's normal for the drying time to change slightly during the course of the cycle. This is because the dryer will set at a predetermined time at the beginning of the cycle, and then adjust the estimated drying time based on the humidity level that the dryer senses.
However, if you dryer's cycle time is changing significantly, please perform the following:
- Check the load size.
- If you've selected a sensor dry cycle and there are no clothes in the dryer, the dryer will sense that there is no humidity in the dryer, and reduce the time to 5 minutes, and then turn off.
- If you have a few light items, such as a couple of t shirts, the cycle time may start out long but then be adjusted to a much shorter time.
- If you have many heavy items, the dryer will add more time to compensate for the higher humidity levels.
If the drying time still changes significantly and the clothes are coming out not dry, your dryer will require service. |
