Question:
Why doesn't my dryer turn off after completing
a cycle?
Answer:
Normal behavior - Some dryers won't automatically
power off but instead play a tune indicating the cycle is complete. They remain
on with "END" displayed until the door is opened. To turn off, press
the power button.
Wrinkle prevention cycles - Some models have
additional cycles to prevent wrinkles, making it seem like the dryer isn't turning
off. Check your user manual for details.
Signal button - If there's no sound during
button presses or setting changes, find the signal button. It controls the chime
(sound) and might have different volume levels.
Terms:
Wrinkle prevention cycles - Extra drying cycles
designed to reduce wrinkles on clothes.
Signal button - A button controlling the sound
(chime) produced by the dryer during specific events.
