Answer:

Subject:  TV is slow to turn on or has other random glitches

Your Smart TV uses memory just like your phone or PC.

The more apps you run on your TV, the more memory your TV uses and when the memory gets low, the TV can start to run a little slow.

It may take a while to turn on, the apps may take longer to start, or the menu may take longer to load.

Let us show you how to cold boot or discharge your TV so you can clear the memory cache and get back to running at full speed.

Discharging or cold booting your TV will help it start up normally again.

There are two ways you can do this. Both methods are quick and easy, but one requires you to use the remote that came with your Samsung TV.

(1) With the Samsung TV remote

  1. With the TV turned on, press and hold the power button on your Samsung TV remote.
  2. Continue holding the power button while the TV powers off and then back on.
  3. You have just cold booted the TV. The memory cache is cleared and the TV should run more smoothly.

(2) Without the Samsung TV remote

  1. With the TV turned on, unplug the TV's power cord from the power outlet.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet.
  4. Turn the TV on.
  5. You have just discharged the TV. The memory cache is cleared and your TV should start running normally again.

(3) If the customer's TV is still running slow, follow these steps:

  1. Connect to the TV via Remote Management
  2. Access the factory menu.
  3. Click Factory under special keys.
  4. Navigate to Instant On.
  5. Select Option > MRT Option > Instant On.
  6. Change Instant On option off.
  7. Select the Instant On option to turn it off.

This will improve any issues with slow turn on, but customers may still need to cold boot their TV with the remote from time to time.
