Modle:  All TVs

Symptoms:

Flickering or flashing issue when play the HDR 10+ content via USB.

Resolution display in info bar continues to change to HDR and HDR 10+.

Cause:

Content issue (Not TV issue)

Normal HDR10+ file video should include HDR10+ metadata everyframe.

Some files have the metadata with long intervals.

This results in HDR10+ mode > HDR10 mode (no HDR10+ meta) > HDR10+ > HDR10 > ..., which causes flickering.

NG Case: 1~2 frames with HDR10+ metadata > dozens or hundreds of blank metadata frames > 1~2 frames with HDR10+ metadata.

Explanation of Terms:

HDR10+: A high dynamic range format that provides enhanced picture quality with better contrast, colors, and brightness.

Metadata: Data about data; in this context, refers to the information embedded in the video file that helps the TV process the visuals correctly.

Chip Spec: The specifications related to the chip used in the TV that processes the visual signals.
