Connect a desktop or laptop computer to an LED TV

Solution:

You can connect Windows and Mac computers to your LED TV. However, UNIX and LINUX computers are not compatible.

Windows

Samsung TVs are compatible with Windows computers running Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 10. Your computer detects your Samsung TV as a Plug and Play monitor and does not require any drivers.

Mac

You can connect your Samsung LCD or DLP TV to your Mac as long as the video card in your Mac supports standard PC video resolutions and the optimum refresh rate of your TV. Your Samsung TV will be detected as a Plug and Play monitor and does not require drivers.

UNIX or LINUX

Samsung does not support computers with UNIX or LINUX based operating systems.
