PROBLEM :

Yahoo! Weather

SOLUTION :

The Yahoo! Weather Widget allows you to receive real time weather information and five day forecasts for multiple locations of your choosing. To access this information, select the Weather Widget from your Snippet Dock and press Enter.

Remove a city

The Weather Widget comes with five different cities by default. To remove these cities or other cities you have added, follow the instructions below:

1. Highlight the Settings icon.
   
   
2. Use the down arrow to highlight the city you would like to remove.
   
   Note: If you have more than five cities on your list, they will be displayed on multiple pages. You will need to find the page with the city you want to remove.
   
   
3. Press Enter. A verification window will open.
   
   
4. Highlight Delete and press Enter.
   
   

Add a city
You can add your favorite cities to the list so you can see what the weather is like. To add a city to your list, follow the steps below:

1. Highlight the Settings icon.
   
   
2. Use the down arrow to highlight Add New City and press Enter.
   
   Note: If you have more than five cities on your list, they will be displayed on multiple pages.
   
   
3. The virtual keyboard will appear in the menu. Input the name of the city you would like to add.
   
   Note: As you spell out the name of the city, the widget will update.
   
   
4. When your city is displayed in the list, highlight it and then press Enter. You will be asked to confirm your selection.
   
   
5. Once you have confirmed your selection, your city will be added.

Add your favorite locations

You can add some or all of your favorite location information to the snippet dock. If multiple locations are chosen, you can scroll through them on the snippet dock using the arrows.

To set this information, follow these steps:

1. Highlight your preferred city on the dock, and then press Enter.
   
   Note: If you only have one city in the list, you will not need to perform step one.
   
   
2. You will see the 5-day forecast and current conditions of the selected city. Press the yellow button on your remote.
   
   
3. A message will appear; select Add Snippet and then press Enter.
   
   
4. The information will now be on your dock.

Remove location information

If you want to remove a location from the snippet dock, follow these steps:

1. Highlight your preferred city on the dock, and then press Enter.
   
   Note: If you only have one city in the list, you will not need to perform Step 1.
   
   
2. You will see the 5-day forecast and current conditions of the selected city. Press the yellow button on your remote.
   
   
3. A message will appear; select Delete Snippet and then press Enter.
   
   
4. The information will now be removed from your dock.

Display information in Metric or Imperial units

If you would like to have your weather widget display Metric units or Imperial units, follow the steps below:

1. Press the green button on your remote. Or, use the arrow buttons to select the green button on the bottom of the on-screen menu.
   
   
2. Select the option Display Units As, and then press Enter.
   
   Note: The current mode will be displayed on the right.
   
   
3. The mode will switch between Metric or Imperial each time the Enter button is pressed.
