Solution 1:

Check if your recording device has an analog tuner.

Ensure your TV uses an antenna for broadcasting.

Buy a Digital-to-Analog converter box for your antenna if needed.

Contact your cable or satellite provider to confirm compatibility.

Gather required materials: coaxial (RF) cable and composite A/V cable.

Connect devices using appropriate cables (coaxial or composite).

Set TV to designated coax (RF) output channel (usually ch. 3 or 4).

Perform an Auto Program to find the signal from your output device.

 

Problem 2:

Connect a recording device with an analog tuner using a coaxial cable

Solution 2:

Connect coaxial cable to wall antenna or cable jack.

Connect first end of cable to recorder's coax (RF) IN.

Connect second end of cable to TV's ANT IN.

Set TV to designated coax (RF) output channel.

Connect first end of cable to recorder's RF IN.

Connect composite video (yellow) and audio (red and white) cables to recorder's video and audio OUT.

Connect other ends of composite cables to TV's video and audio jacks.

Turn on TV and select AV input using SOURCE button.
