Updating TV software

Solution :

Keep your TV's software updated to enjoy new features and bug fixes. Automatic updates via internet connection are common, but manual updates (online or via USB) are also possible. Check for updates regularly.

Automatic update:

If your TV is online, enable auto-update to receive and apply updates without interruption. To toggle this setting, go to Settings > Support > Software Update > Auto Update. Note: New features stop after ~2 years, but bug fixes continue.

Internet update:

For manual updates, check for new software by going to Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now. Downloads take a few minutes; do not switch off your TV during this process. Restart required.

USB update:

Visit the Samsung website, enter your TV's model number, and download the latest firmware from the Support page. Extract the downloaded file to a USB flash drive (no subfolders). Connect the drive to your TV, then navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now > Yes. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update. Restart required.
