Problem :

Setting up parental controls on your Samsung TV

Solution :

Access the Security function by selecting it from the Setup portion of the Main Menu and pressing ENTER.

Enter your PIN using the remote's number pad; the default PIN is 0000.

Set the V-Chip to 'On' by pressing ENTER, selecting 'ON', and then pressing ENTER again.

Adjust desired rating options by selecting them and pressing ENTER, then block or unblock ratings by pressing ENTER. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all desired ratings are blocked/unblocked.

To save changes, press EXIT.

For added security, consider changing the default PIN (0000). Select 'Change PIN', enter a new PIN twice, and confirm the change. Finally, press EXIT to leave the Main Menu.

Note: These functions are only available through the TV (Coax) input, not other connections. Also, the V-Chip can only block programs carrying a rating; it has no effect on unrated programs.
