 PROBLEM 1: Error codes

SOLUTION :

-AGENT ONLY-

There are some error codes that may appear on a TV, usually when using the network functions on their TV.

Important: If the error code is not listed below, it is possible that the error message is not from the TV but the connected external device. Ask the customer to take a picture and send it to: casvc15@samsung.com or to the fax number: 1-800-878-4754. Have the customer contact their external device manufacturer for further assistance if necessary.

Below you will find the most common error codes, what they indicate, and possible solutions.

  • Code 102: The network firmware has not been registered on the server yet. Have the customer perform a firmware update via a USB drive.

  • Code 109: Model grouping or mapping error. This is a mistake on our server and we will need to correct it.

  • Code 600: Failure to distribute the memory at TV. Have the customer clear the internal memory of the TV via a Factory Reset. Or, they can perform an update via a USB drive.

  • Code 601: Connection error. The TV does not detect a network connection. Test the network.

  • Code 801: Operation timeout error. The server is busy. Have the customer try again later, or ask them to test their network.

Terms:

Error codes: Unique numbers displayed on TVs indicating specific issues or errors.

Firmware update: A software update designed to fix bugs, improve performance, or add new features to electronic devices like TVs.

Model grouping/mapping error: Mistake in server data causing incorrect model association.

Internal memory: Storage space within the TV for storing settings, preferences, and temporary files.

Factory reset: A process to restore a device's settings to its original state, erasing all user data and customizations.

Timeout error: Occurs when a request made by the TV takes too long to complete due to server overload or slow network response.
