Cracking or popping sounds from TV

SOLUTION :

Samsung televisions use a combination of metal and plastic material in their sets. These materials are subject to expansion and contraction due to temperature changes. Because of this, you may occasionally hear creaking, popping, or cracking. These noises are completely harmless and will not affect your TV operation or damage the unit.

With this in mind, here are a few quick tips on how to reduce cabinet expansion that causes these noises.

• Ensure that there is adequate ventilation for the set. Some enclosures may not allow for proper ventilation, causing the internal temperature to increase and the plastic to expand even more than normal. For recommended ventilation requirements for your TV, please see your owner manual.
