Stop InfoLink from automatically connecting to the internet

PROBLEM :

Stop InfoLink from automatically connecting to the internet

SOLUTION :

When turning on your TV, InfoLink may start by default and connect to the internet. If your TV is not connected to the internet, it will fail to connect. The TV will then give you the option to retry or cancel.

To change the default setting and prevent InfoLink from starting automatically, follow these steps:

  1. Allow InfoLink to try to connect.

  2. After it fails, select Cancel using the remote. InfoLink will default to Setup.

  3. Press Enter on your remote. Auto Launch will be highlighted.

  4. Press Enter again.

  5. Select Off, and then press Enter.

  6. Press Exit.

  7. To confirm you have turned off Auto Launch, turn off your TV, then wait 30 seconds, and then turn it back on. The InfoLink feature should not launch. It should only try to connect to the internet when you press the INFO.L button on the remote.
