Set up an HDMI ARC connection

PROBLEM :

Setting up an HDMI ARC Connection

ANSWER :

To set up an HDMI ARC connection, follow these steps:

Ensure both the TV and sound bar/audio receiver are HDMI ARC compatible (ARC stands for Audio Return Channel).

Use a proper HDMI cable for connecting the devices via their HDMI ARC ports.

Enable HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) or Anynet on both devices. This allows seamless control between connected devices using a single remote control.

If the HDMI ARC connection doesn't work, unplug all devices for 2-3 minutes, then plug them back in one by one.

As a last resort, consider resetting the TV and initializing the soundbar/audio receiver.

TERMS:

HDMI ARC - Allows audio signals to travel in both directions between the TV and sound system without needing additional cables.

HDMI CEC - Enables interoperability between different brands of devices connected through HDMI.

Anynet - Samsung's implementation of HDMI CEC.
