Solution:

Follow these steps to connect your video game system to your TV using the right cables and connectors.

 

Check your TV's connection types - Determine what kind of inputs your TV has (Composite, Component, HDMI, or VGA).

Use the correct cables - Most gaming systems come with cables needed for connection. Ensure you're using the proper cables for your gaming system and TV.

Composite A/V Connection:

Connect composite video (yellow) & audio (red & white) cables to gaming system.

Connect composite video (yellow) to green input with yellow ring on TV.

Connect audio (red & white) cables to audio AV IN jacks on TV.

Press Source button on remote until on AV.

Component A/V Connection:

Connect component video (green, blue, red) & audio (red & white) cables to Component OUT on gaming system.

Connect other end of cables to Component IN on TV.

Press Source button on remote and select Component source.

HDMI Connection:

Connect HDMI cable from HDMI OUT on gaming system to any free HDMI input on TV.

Press Source button on remote until on chosen HDMI connection.

VGA Connection:

Connect VGA cable from VGA OUT on gaming system to PC IN on TV.

Connect audio (3.5mm mini-jack) cable from VGA Audio OUT on gaming system to PC Audio IN on TV.

(If your system has red & white audio jacks, get an RCA-to-mini-jack adapter.)

Press Source button on remote until on PC.
