PROBLEM :
TV turns on when I turn on external device
SOLUTION :
When you turn on a Samsung device that has the Anynet+ feature and is connected to a TV, both devices will turn on simultaneously. This also applies to when the device is turned off.
Usually this saves time, but there are some circumstances where this can cause issues and be frustrating. For example, you may want to listen to a CD on your Samsung home theater but when you turn on the home theater, the TV turns on.
To resolve an issue like this, you have two options:
- Turn off the "Auto Turn Off" function of Anynet+.
- Disable the Anynet+ feature altogether.
Auto Turn Off
Disabling this Anynet+ function will stop the external devices from powering off when the TV is powered off, but other Anynet+ functions will still be accessible.
Anynet+ Feature
Turning off the Anynet+ feature will help with this issue. However, you will not be able to use the Anynet+ function to control your external device with the TV remote.
To access the Anynet+ settings, navigate to Settings on your TV. Select System, and then select Expert Settings. Select Anynet+ and from here, you can adjust the settings.
