Symptom
A Stain (ex: fingerprints, handprints, etc.)
on the TV screen cannot be cleaned easily.
* Even if the customer wipes it with
a fabric material (microfiber cloth), there are still stains.
Cause
If there is a stain on the screen caused by
oil or sodium, it will not be easily removed.
Solution
If the screen has stains from oil or sodium,
try the following steps sequentially:
* Make sure that turn off and unplug the
TV power cord from the wall socket before try it.
- Gently wipe the stain with a dry microfiber
cleaning cloth.
- Gently wipe with a slightly damp microfiber
cloth and dry it off with a dry microfiber cloth.
- Gently wipe with a microfiber cloth dampened
with a small amount of 70% ethanol, and then dry it off with a dry cleaning
microfiber cloth
Caution
- Be careful not to let the water run down
or wet the cloth too much. Damp a cleaning microfiber cloth with a little
water (a few drops). Ensure that any water and humidity has been removed
before plugging the TV back in.
- Be careful not to rub with excessive force
during cleaning.
- Do not spray water/ethanol directly on
the panel.
- Be cautious not to let water/ethanol enter
the bottom of the product.
- Do not wipe the edges of the product with
water/ethanol. (The film may lift.)
- Use 70% ethanol (Over the Counter Drug).
No high concentration ethanol or other ingredients such as surfactants should
be included.
- Apply ethanol only locally where there
are stains and immediately wipe off the ethanol (Secondary staining may
occur).
- TVs/Monitors with the low reflection panel:
Most stains can be cleaned with a 3M ProGrip 2000 glove. If there are still
stains left, try the steps above sequentially.
